I finally got around to seeing _Brazil_ this past weekend, and I
wholeheartedly agree.  The delicious sense of the absurd, the convergence of
different time periods, the comedic pessimism(or morbid optimism!), they all
made me think of TRP.  Not to mention, Sam's a very Pynchonian protagonist,
a cog in a larger system buffeted by forces beyond his control, although he
suffers a not necessarily Pynchonian fate.

Anyhoo, I LOVED the film, enuff so that I really don't want to ruin it for
any on the list who may not have seen it yet, so I guess I'll stop here.
I'm still way excited about it though, so if anyone wants to discuss it
off-listserv, I'm more than game.
