Firesign theatre is available in a greatest hits format on a double CD, I
think on the Ryko or Rhino label. In some ways getting the original album
formats would be better, since the best works tend to create whole album-wide
environments, including in-character awareness that the record needs to
be/has been flipped, etc. They will remain in my heart (and wired into my
aural memory also!)

Firesign Theatre was (is?) a multi-layered thinking-persons comedy group
that originated in the 60s, flourished in the 70s, and (I think) disbanded
in the early 80s Some of the members still occasionally work together, and
I believe that all four of them have on occasion worked together in the
past decade. Their comedy is unlike any other I have ever heard, and much
of it is as fresh today as when it was first performed. I don't think
that much if any of their work has been released on CD, but you could
maybe find used LPs. My personal favorite is _How Can You Be In Two
Places At Once When You're Not Anywhere At All?_
If you have access to news groups try alt.comedy.firesgn-thtre (note the
spelling), which occasionally features an exhaustive FAQ of the group.
