Just spent an hour or so browsing thru THE
ELECTRIC LIBRARY. This might be old news
to some of you out there, but if you haven't
paid a visit yet to:

http://www.elibrary.com/

You ought to do so before March when you have
to subscribe. There are over 150 articles
mentioning Pynchon, taken from all sorts of
sources - his father's obitary, reviews,
essays, reviews of other books that just
mention his name in passing, gossip,
reviews of the Spike Jones LP, etc, etc and etc.
Even a piece from a Rusian Journal of Social
Science that references something by Pynchon
called "The Drug Dealer" - don't get too
excited, it was just an extract from Vineland.

You can also get a couple of sizable chunks of
David Foster Wallace - first chance this Brit has
had to see any of his stuff, and tons of stuff on
any other writer you care to mention.

Happy browsing, foax!

Nigel
