On the subject of potential Pynchon pop collaborations: my vote would
have to go to The Fall, particularly because of Mark E. Smith's extensive
use of the kazoo (see for example 'New Face in Hell' off 'Grotesque'),
and also because Smith is the closest we've got to a reincarnation of
George Formby - Wigan's ukeleleist and Slothrop's equivalent.
