Agreed. Problem is they are hard to find. Everything but Tours Of The
Black Clock is pretty much out of print. Arc D'x was never released
in paperback - which is amazing seeing as how it got fantastic reviews.
And let's not forget Erickson's book length piece of non-fiction -
Leap Year - about the presidential elections of 1988. Kinda a
precursor to Arc d'x in a way, in that Sally Hemmings is involved.
Very funny stuff on Al Gore's campaign going down the tubes. I look
forward to reading his stuff this time around...I think these
candidates offer even more opportunity for Erickson's cutting wit than
the candidates in '88.
It's good to see some people are aware of him....I think he is one of
the most neglected authors around...I've been thinking of putting
a web page up for him once I get my Vollmann page to where I want it.
Tours of The Black Clock is one of my all time favorite reads.

And there is a new Steve Erickson novel, Amnesiascope, coming out
this spring (pub date May 1st)...good news but I am sinking under the
weight of my 'to read' pile with Infinite jest, and new Vollmann,
Barth, and Coover within the next couple of months.

I invite you all you all to check out my Vollmann page....I am adding
stuff pretty much every day...just added 7 or 8 titles of works in
progress the wtv has going on. The Atlas should be out on April 1st.
