Getting GR

Well, I don't know.  I suspect there could be as many "maps" as there are 
readers -- at least as many ways of traveling through and making 
connections.  I forget who said (erroneously, IMO) of _V_ that it's like a 
puzzle which, once you've found the key, need not trouble you any more.  But 
I think one of the beauties of _GR_ is that now matter how we lay it out, it 
will still have the capacity to surprise and shock us in new ways each time 
we look at it.  (Maybe I'm missing the point -- it's been a long day.)
