Sounds like you want something specific, and I have no leads
there. 

I suppose it has already been suggested that _Light_ is a pretty good 
metaphor for a Kirghiz culture which cannot withstand certain types of
interference? Turkicizing, for example. Light is a form of energy
conveyed through _empty_ space. It is always moving. When it ceases
to move because it is absorbed by matter (written language?), it is no 
longer light. 

Additionally, for what it is worth, a beam of light can convey information 
from one place to another--both as to the source of the light and objects 
that have partly absorbed the light before it reaches the observer.
