And while we're on the subject, honorable mention should be given to the
original MAX HEADROOM series -- which still appears on the SciFi (sic)
channel -- which, for it's time (the mid eighties), made some incredible
stabs at network programming practices (Network 23 & it's rivals) and
sinister, shadowy corporate monoliths (the ubiquitous "Zik Zak" corporation).

Until that show aired, I had never seen a program that made more references
to TURNING OFF YOUR TELEVISION to escape it's evil influences.
