Actually, I was not totally displeased with `Disgusted English Dandy
Drill'. *My* Dandy being the malicious interloper in Schoenberg's
Pierrot Lunaire, the Harlequin who wins Columbine's favour with his
agressive swagger - not to mention that magic wand (far far superior
to Pierrot's wan charms).
And besides the only other assonance/rhyme I could think of would be
Shandy - as in Tristram - which is not only much too high a compliment
(I wish) but also a mismatch with my original sentiment.
Anyway, there was a `notwithstanding' thrown into the original which
appeared to be to my favour.
