I don't think Tom is judgmental of the Crew but is attracted to 
bohemians, marginals, those outside the system. There are a lot of '50ish
subcultural, non-conformist types in the short stories and all of these 
types are related to the CounterForce in GR, as well as many characters 
in VL. These parallels would suggest an affinity to such as the WSC, 
though TRP is not uncritical nor romanticizing of such.

I just joined the list, read through many of the archives and wonder 
where the earlier players are and when later part of 95 and earlier 96
