Jack Butler?

I found a big, fat, and, I hope, juicy 655 page novel remaindered at B&N
for $3.98, called _Living in Little Rock with Miss Little Rock_ by Jack
Butler, 1993.  I haven't heard of the author but upon reading a couple of
randomly-selected pages I was convinced to take the plunge.  I was
wondering if anyone here has heard of the book or author, and has any
comments.  BTW, B&N also had _Arc d'X_ remaindered, if anyone's
interested.
