"They" are whatever reminds "Us" we are about to die.  

Kind of existential.

But, seriously, one wouldn't want to attach names and addresses,
would one?

"They" is not a synonym for "power elite", is it?
(remember that C. Wright Mills--haven't seen him around lately)

On some wonderful days, it seems like there isn't any "They"

Only "Us".

On a really bad day there is only "me".
