Henry wants to know:

     That would be the eponymous Conrad Cat (silent, except for the song 
     voiced by one Pinto Colvig, a Pynchonian name if ever there was one) 
     in the Chuck Jones directed "Conrad the Sailor" (1942).  Also starring 
     a fine Daffy Duck.  And, now that I think of it, the cartoons ends 
     with a doomsday chase of Conrad and Daffy by a launched cannon 
     shell...  Hmmm...
