How to read DAHLGREN

Bob N. complains:
"I found Dahlgren to be the biggest literary waste of time I ever
encountered. It kept promising the possibility of a plot JUST enough to keep
me from tossing it aside but when I was finished I had gained NOTHING. I
only recommend it to people I don't like."

DAHLGREN, like GR, is not a book that one should read for "plot." Notice
that the end--like FINNEGAN'S WAKE--leads back to the beginning. Look at
the book's epigraph: "You have confused the true and the real" and yourself
which is which?
