I agree with Steely's recommendation for Our Hitler. However, the
director/writer/puppeteer (the film mixes live action and puppets) is
Hans-Jurgen Syberberg. He also directed an amazing version of Wagner's
Parsifal (and I am not very big on opera). Syberberg is definitely a
candidate to take on GR.
