The V. bus will be making its first stop this weekend, EHREH, and we'll
be happy to pick you up. We've started by reading the first five
chapters and will have our opening round of discussion after I think
of something trenchant to post on Friday, 21 June. All posts are to
     the list: pynchon-l at waste.org.

I was going to post the rest of the sched then, too, but this seems as
good a time as any to wake everybody up. Unless there are objections,
the rest of the reading/chatter will go like this: Chapters 6 - 9 by
     21 July, Chapters 10 - 13 by 21 August, and Chapters 14 - Epilogue by
21 September. I will be subverting the beautiful people on Martha's
Vineyard during the last two weeks of July, so someone else will have
to get the get the ball rolling then, OK? If there are any problems
     with this, let me know.

Thanks for writing EHREH, I look forward to your comments. Oh--hey
Paul Murphy, let's hear from you, too, OK? I'm curious about the
Mondaugen theory you're percolating--a-and I'm not shitting you.
(There have been a few unanswered V. posts lately, maybe we can throw
them around, too.) Also, for those of you who haven't done so yet,
check out Tim Ware's hyperguide at www.hyperarts.com. It's highly
     recommended. Thank you, Tim.

While I'm thinking of it--in my best approximation of a Mohandas K.
davemarc Non-Threatening Suggestion--let me encourage the many lurkers
who wrote to me to join in. OK?

     Chris
