David comments:
"One of the things I've always like about the rainbow image
is how it fits into color theory in general. Anyone who works
with light knows that white is the presence of all colors
and black is their absence, but anyone who mixed pigments
knows white is the absence of all color and black is the
presence of all of them. For me, the rainbow functions
as a symbol of both universal inclusion and exclusion."
This is a theme that also connects with GR"
's pre-sequel (ie, written before but set after), "The Secret Integration,"
where color is the major theme.
