group read -- and away we go

hmmmm. I seem to have jumped the gun. I sort of read V about 5 years ago, 
and had a difficult time with it. For some reason, GR was an easier read 
for me. A couple of weeks ago I saw a new PB edition and bought it. So 
at this point, if you're planning 100 pages a month, I'm already two 
months ahead! 

Given all the characters and interrelated incidents spread through out 
the book, how can one remember what was happening from month to month? 
I'd have to finish the whole novel in less than a month for it to hang 
together in any meaningful way.

Already Porpentine, Godolphin, and the rest of the elder Stencil's 
playmates are starting to merge. For some reason I can't get them to 
congeal as separate mental constructs.
