As one of those honours students mentioned I did my thesis on GR mostly
after being exposed to COL49 during a second year contemporary lit course
which included Hoban's Riddley Walker and White Noise, The Book of Daniel
and a few others (im getting old and forgetful). And while its been seven
some years since I cranked out my bit of toss, the English Dept at
Newcastle, has fostered quite a few Pynchon scholars. So perhaps its not
quite quiet up here.

Now interesting oz writers who may or may not be like TRP include IMHO
Michael Wilding, esp the Short Story Embassy
Janet Turner Hospital, The Last Magician and anything by
Brian Castro.
