Ooh, ooh, something I know something about!!!!

Mike Nesmith and Frank Zappa appear together in a vignette at the
beginning of the next to last episode ever, called "Monkees Blow their
Minds." Mike pretends to be Frank (with fake little beard), and Frank
pretends to be Mike (wool hat and all.) They demolish a car with
motorcycle chains while a Zappa symphony plays in the background. The
episode features a mentalist who hypnotizes Peter.

Frank also shows up in "Head" after Davy does a paltry song and dance
number on a soundstage. He walks by, leading a cow with a big bell
around it's neck, and comments to Davy in passing: "Man, that was
pretty white." This quote is also on the soundtrack.

(Hey, hey, what can I say, I've got EVERY SINGLE EPISODE on
videotape.)

Sleepy Jean.

Zappa had a cameo in the Monkees feature film "Head." Don't know of any
other connections (but my knowledge of Monkee lore is quite limited).
