My recollection is that Zappa did appear on the show, and that at the end
Zappa and Nesmith were imitating each other (Zappa with the wool hat on,
etc.)

As I recall, there IS a Zappa/Nesmith connection somewhere, perhaps
having
to do with a post-Monkees productin of some sort...but probably having
nothing whatever, alas, to do with TRP.
