Yeah, there was that scene in _Cruising_ which is where the myth comes
from.   And I think it's been largely discredited as a (straight) myth
about homosexuals...  W/r/t colors in _GR_- it's fairly significant that
the colors of the spectrum are seen as preferrable to abscence of color 
(white or black)- I've been trying to develop a typology of color, but 
basically, there doesn't seem to be one.  Except that color is seen to be 
indicative ofe life/emotion in contrast to the use of white and black, 
which seem to reflect death/abscence in the text.
