Having lost my mom 10 years ago what makes me feel bad
is that Jackson Pynchon won't have a Pynchon grandma or
grandpa to play with (& Jules made it clear how nice
TRP's dad was). At least TRPs folks got to see him
settle down and start a family, and they had some 
time to fuss over the kid a bit, which is the grand-
parent's right.

If you are out there on the net, Mr. Pynchon, my 
deepest sympathy. Even if you're not on the net,
I think you know how we feel.
