Cancer Man

Seeing it's 11/22, and having just read Libra (which I found much more
entertaining than White Noise), notice how Cancer Man in X-Files is the
lone gunman unlike in Libra where Oswald was involved but there was those
anti-Castro hitmen, grassy-knoll, etc. Also Cancer Man's history reminds
me so much of Pirate, working for them, trying to believe in what he's
doing, eventually disillusioned, a failed writer, writing stories based
on true events, which no one beleives, published in some skin mag, goes
back to smoking, and working for them, who he probably now hates and is
the originator of the X-Files in a way. I particularly loved his comment
about keeping the Buffalo Bills from winning the SuperBowl. (everything's
connected-wonder if Jim Kelly was watching). He is what lay beneath
Mulder's obsessions and America's as well, so he sorta takes on other
aspects of the Rocket. Just babbling here.
