The movie _Fargo_

I liked  fargo too, but the second time around it was a bit thin, sometiems
drippy.  The Coen brothers vacillate between preposterous and overblown
mannerist filmmaking and a kind of dorky sentimentalism (I prefer the latter)...

good news on the film front:  the most consistently interesting American
director, David Lynch, has a new film coming out in February called _Lost
Highway_-- I wonder if it's a play of some kind on the old Leon Payne/Hank
Williams classic
