I loved New York, New York.  And I can see that in some ways it could
validly be said to be Pynchonesque.  The interpolation of musical numbers,
the "realist/postmodernist" reconstruction of the boy-and-girl-in-showbiz
genre, the incorporation of icons like Minelli and Kert, the glorification
of a saxophonist...yeah, it's a wonderful flick with marked Pynchonesque
qualities.

MS's greatest dud might be After Hours (also Pynchonesque) or Cape Fear or
Casino.

Whatever Pynchonesque means,
