I heartidly endorse Chris Carter's new show, Millenium.  A cop who thru 
connections with a organization called the Millenium Group, tries to make 
the world just a wee-bit less evil.  Lots of references to Nostradmus, 
apolcaypse biblical and otherwise, killers who might be part of some 
grand scheme unbeknownst to them in their maniacal endeavors.  But They 
know about Frank, the cop with the wrold on his shoulders and the 
compassion to go with it.  If you thought X-Files was dark, you should 
check out Millenium.
