I don't think the presence of this stereotype argues against Jules
point, in fact the reverse. No black woman looks anything like
Angelfood McSpade. Some white women do approximate vaguely to Playboy
girls (even the models don't actually approximate physically to what
appears in the mag thanks to all the prior preening, pruning and
airbrushing - we will ignore the stuff that goes by name of
biographical blurb). So, black women miss out not just once because
they do not conform to the white standard of beauty but twice because
they do not even approximate to the standard against which black women
qua black women are judged.
