Does this sound familiar to anyone? (Does anybody give a hoot?):

My "girlfriend" and I are Pynchonophiles (one of the many things I like 
about her). Fond of allusions and alluding in general, 
many things remind us instances in the canon.
P becomes context. (She is currently reading GR)

An aside:
My ex read GR, but it was kinda like the football quiz in "Diner" --
it never became a point of reference for her and she never read any 
of the other P works.
