I think it means that since we are all going to die (the hourglass
imagery, the riders all sleeping), then we should celebrate life while
we can, see the souls in the stones...  Just looking at the song that
is.  Of course, in the context of the ending, then it can be just some
extremely dark humor, or seen as a sort of victory, they can take away
your life, but not your song or the magic you find here.  Probably all
this and more.

What do you think it means?  How did it make you feel?
