You are right, of course. That's what happen when you try to compose an
email after watching the director's cut of _Das Boot._ (Though anyone
looking for a lively read on the subject of longitude, clocks at sea, etc.
in nearly the same historical period should give Eco's book a look. I'll
shut up now.)
