Chris--

I agree that everyone should have finished M&D before posting anything.
But no doubt this is a very exciting time to be on the list. I'm a joe
blow non-literary type but the list is great because it seems to cover
some many topics (like our hero): history, goddess worship, mechanics,
romantic poetry, porn, good detective fiction, acid dreams, silly pot
head scrawlings, things that happened in European history, Texas rock and
roll, opera, banana epistemology, cartel mentality, race relations, the
decline of the American left, zen, rocketry, homosexuality, S&M, cartoon
characters, gnosticism, baseball, Schindler's List, Allen Ginsberg, and a
thousand other things....I hope to learn more about astronomy, 18th
Century British foreign policy, the founding fathers, the Civil War, etc.
once I'm done so am more prepared for the second read--...keep heads up
and ears open. I'm sure we'll all learn something:)
