My 2 cents:
Perhaps we could agree to the following format (taken from suggestions
posted here the past 2 days)...
Proposed Format:
Example 1: SUBJECT: M&D (234) Dixon's Folly
Example 2: SUBJECT: M&D (121) Divining Rod (Info)
Explanation & Rationale:
Example 1: Subject line indicates page number the poster has
reached. The next "term" indicates subject
matter -- can be anything, but is general
discussion matter -- in this case, it's discussion
of some "Dixon's Folly" (conjecture on my part
-- not an actual part of the book).
Example 2: Subject line also indicates the page number the
poster reached, but the "term" indicates that
the subject matter of the post is essential back-
ground information that could aid the reader.
I hope everyone will consider this format when discussing actual material
contained within the book. I think it'll be farmore effective than the usual
"SPOILER" tag tossed into the post. Just IMHO. Comments welcome.
Oh, BTW, Amazon Books.Com is advertising the final cost of the book to be
$18 (that's with a 40% discount). I know Barnes & Noble will sell it for
$27.50 minus 35% -- something like $18 (and you don't have to pay the
postage). Anyone deal with Amazon on a regular basis? How much postage do
they charge? How long does it take for their delivery? Curious.
