Hey--
I know that some of y'all are still reading the p-list on antique email
systems from the days of paper tape readers, but for those of us on more
contemporary systems, don't forget that your email reader probably has the
capacity to filter out mail based on content (eudora & MS Internet mail yes,
not sure about Netscape or others; I sold my soul to Bill long ago).

Do like I'm a-gonna do: set up a separate mailbox/folder for M&D-related
messages. As long as all follow the convention of placing "M&D" in the
header, the filter will poink it out of sight till I'm ready. This
effectively creates the splinter list, as has been suggested, but
client-side, not server-side. Those who prefer drinking from the firehose
are not affected.

That way, there's no need to miss out on the other spectacles, like the
Intercontinental Castro Pissing Contest!
