I was surprised not to see more on this list in the way of GRGR
postmortem. As a patzer I personally never posted in the GRGR. It was,
however serendipitous for me that my own first reading of Gravity's
Rainbow coincided with the GRGR. This was through sheer chance. Having
read everything else by Pynchon, I started Gravity's Rainbow, then
discovered the GRGR just as it was starting. Andrew's very insightful
discussion openers and the subsequent posts contributed substantially to
my understanding of the book.

I have the following general comment on Gravity's Rainbow. The most
difficult parts are clearly the first part and the last part. Thus it
occurs to me that maybe a good approach to the the some-day eventual
resumption of the GRGR might be just to do the last part (``The
Counterforce'').
