I liked Tarantino's take on Top Gun in "Sleep With Me." Speaking of
takes on things, today's Suck has an extremely Pynchonian feel,
especially this line (about conspiracies):

...  we wouldn't have to invent all of it to cover the fear of never
knowing which hand turned the wheel.
