I ran across this website also.  You're correct in your assumption that
it's the Maryland State Archives.  If you go to

http://www.mdarchive.state.md.us [don't include the rest of the stuff]

then you should get to the top of the website and browse from there.

I've got an old pc (i.e. no Windows) and so I've not been able to see the
graphics yet...I've got to download them and view them offline.
