I'm in complete agreement with everything Steve has written above.  I,
too, am, for some unfathomable reason, apparently mentioned in the book
and am taking up Mr. Larson on his offer of a freebie.

I have never felt that anything I've ever posted over the net was in
anyway protect by copyright or privacy laws (other than *private* email)
and so I type in the same way that I would speak to anyone in a
face-to-face medium.

On the other hand, I do believe that Seigel should have contacted everyone
he was planning on mentioning before publishing the book.  It may not have
been the expedient thing to do, but it would have been proper thing to do.
