PI's positive, matter-of-fact review keeps a low profile. There 
is little that hasn't been said already. However, TP's decision 
to use a narrator in a "surprisingly conventional" way makes the 
reviewer wonder. "Fortunately, Pynchon largely neglects" "[t]his 
framing device".
