April 1??

I checked in Tower this eve to see if maybe they really would do a M&D
midnight sale.....(In Boston , at least, they have something of a
fiction section, including about a dozen Henry Miller titles and
numerous Beat and Bukowski, so it didn't seem entirely far fetched)  So
when i asked the clerk when it would become available, she looked into
the computer and said, "Oh, it's been out since the 1st."  "May 1st?"
"No, April 1st"  "So do you have any....left?"  "We didn't order any."
So much for that idea.  But how does the April 1st on the computer fit
in--any ideas?
