hsi and ho, do and ti

howdy all, back for a bit from non computer land.

2 things i had on my mind bout M&D which i'm not sure if ya'llve talked bout.


1)  Did the story of HSI and HO, the ending that is, (as well as the adverse
version of M&D's America story, having them stay) remind anyone on Borges'
story, _The Garden of Forking Paths_?

2)  Isn't it odd how Pynchon put the book out the day the comet disappeared
and all that comet cult stuff happened, and at the end kinda there is that
paragraph where Mason is looking to the comet for Rebekah....reminiscent of
Mr. Do hoping Ti would be up in that comet?????  AHHHHHH....a bit prophetic
i may say...
