It's interesting what emphases can be placed on these words--compare:

	You were *listening* to me but you didn't *hear* me!

	You *heard* me but you weren't *listening* to me!

Can anyone on this list, or all together, tell me what is required to 
"get" _Gravity's Rainbow_?
