On this day/OSMONDS?

I began by being interested and amused by this *On this day* stuff. It's still interesting, but
certainly seems to be growing out of all proportion. Isd there some sort of electronic
gizmo you cyberhistorians click on to get a daily almanac or something? Or do you
actually type in these facts, every day? Anyway, they're informative for those of us too
lazy to pull our encyclopedias down, except, is this a mistake?

If this is the song I am trying to remember (*One bad apple don't spoil the whole bunch,
gu-urrl*), isn't it the JACKSONS? If it is, isn't that a really hysterically funny error? Or is
it maybe, kinda like a historical conspiracy? White bread imperialism in musical
evolution.
Could it be a different song (doesn't seem possible)?
If I'm wrong, sorry for wasting your time; I'll read more history.
