Was Alsison Lurie's _The War Between the Tates_ mentioned?

Takes place at Cornell (Corinth, in the book) in the early 70s.

I imagine it would  seem pretty dated now.  But much of her sardonic
descriptions of academia were quite cynically humorous, as (at the time)
were the generational gap meetings/clashes, exemplified in the child/parent
and student/professor relationships.

It was made into a TV movie in which the acid was removed (as reviewed--I
never saw it).
