Whilst serving my community and the illimitable amount of free time that
avails one who is conscious of it, I had the distinct pleasure of
devouring a few Pynch-related goodies, namely _Going Native_ by Steven
Wright, _Arc D'X_ by Steve Erickson, _The Famished Road by Ben Okri. The
first had its moments, a nice amalgaman of warped characters and dazzling
characterizations, Arc D'X a interesting humorless tale which became not
what I thought it would be, probably should go back to Black Clock at
some point , the latter being the best of the group (you guys in S.
Africa, ever had ogogoro--what's it like?).
Forgot Civil War Land in Bad Decline and Godhead but haven't finished
those yet.
By the way _Sewer, Gas & Electric_ by Matt Ruffian is reviewed in Village
Voice, 2/11/97. --Pynch credits that too.
