Answer: If innocence is the same as gullibility, then it of course 
diminishes in the face of overpowering immorality. If innocence 
means the opposite of guilt(y behavior), then the statement still 
holds true, because of the general ability of the immoral to 
compel the innocent. It would be nice to think otherwise, 
but....
