Birdland. Quite some amazing stuff, like the song ``Kimberly'' on the same
album ... Peter Reich's book was called ``A book of Dreams.'' He tells about
trying to shoot down sinister UFO's in the desert with orgone guns as the FDA
paranoia was getting intense ... finally his father was taken away. This all
gets worked into the song somehow but it's all quite changed around by Patti.
``It was as if someone had spread butter on the fine points of the
stars because when he looked up they had started to slip ...''
(from Birdland, Patti Smith)
