Back to Hell

Well, I'm back from a fresh life-enhancing trip to NYC and a bonus meeting
with the Man himself, David Lynch (hey if Diana York Blaine can jobdrop, I
can namedrop) and what do I find:

MORE FLAMES!! WHOOPEE!

Just two cents, but I find the mere phrase "hate speech" as easy to toss
around sans definition or clarification as "racist." I haven't met anybody
yet, white black yellow red mauve etc. that gives two shits for Ebonics, esp.
since it misses the point: while you all are fighting over it, your country's
education funds are being triple-slashed. Anyways, as the cliche goes, Fuck
em if they can't take a joke. Personally, I find it hard to nitpick about
race when people like Martin Lawrence uphold the minstrelsy tradition and
Seinfeld and ID4 trot out tired Jewish stereotypes. Equal access, right?
Here's the way it works:

USE YOUR FUCKING HEAD!

That is, if you say nigger to someone and they kick your ass, that's probably
a good sign you need to check your CON-TEXT before you open said mouth. If
you say REDNECK and there's a burning cross on your lawn in the morning, get
a good look at your neighbors. Most of this stuff is elementary.

As for Christianity and its multiple and contagious evils, bottom line: It's
poison, and it really doesn't make much sense. If a bible-thumper blows away
a doctor in the good lord's name, who goes to heaven? My pops used to get his
ass regularly kicked by his fellow nuns for being left-handed. When I first
saw Piss Christ, I jumped for joy, let me tell you. "Andrea Dworkin in
Olestra." Now THAT'S funny!

Not to get personal, but I grew up FROM white trash, was the only white kid
at my shitty schools in Long Beach, CA, got in several fights as a result of
this, but also made a ton of friends across all racial lines, and still I
carry prejudices of my own that I am ashamed of. I think I'm level-headed
enough to know a joke from racial disempowerment. If you all read your
Pynchon like you say you have, you should be, too.

P.S. Where's Steely, that muckraker!? He's so much better at phrasing these
things than I.
