Hey folks..

Just a notice in case anyone sent mail to me at sudweste at agate.net
since my post to the list.. as luck would have it, the day after I
sent the post that ISP managed to get my account records mangled
somehow, one side effect of which was that the email address has
probably become invalid... (I'm unable to dial up or access my
mailbox, but the DNS name of my home pc's still valid, as is my
username/passwd on their news server. weirdness. ..and I'm still being
billed for service, natch. ;) Anyway.. copious apologies to anyone
this may have inconvieninced. New address is in the Reply-to: field,
until I get the whole mess sorted out. sigh.

Incidentally, speaking of the physical book.. I've heard tell of an
edition of _Vineland_ out there somewhere whose cover is something
maybe best described as a "pop-art votive" scene, involving the benign
(sic) grandfatherly visage of Ronald Reagan on a television sitting
atop a classic jukebox, flanked by a pair of archetypal teenyboppers
wearing some manner of welding gear... ? Anyone have more details?
