Kneejerks, Straw Men and the attack of the blindly devoted

My sole beef is against the PROMOTION these ponderous
blockbusters receive. In my household we first have to see
them in the theatre, then bring them home from Hollywood Video,
finally spend some Sunday evening with them (with or without
commercial interruption, don't know which is worse).

Rather be watching Married With Children which is truly
entertaining.

No particular reflection on Spielberg the man. It's the system.
